Opportunities
Graduate Students
The lab is actively recruiting M.S. and Ph.D. students to join the lab starting Spring or Fall 2027! Potential research topics include (but are not limited to) (1) evolution of temperature-dependent sex determination mechanisms in turtles and (2) development of epigenetic aging markers and genome resources in sharks and rays. Students with a strong interest in developing computational skillsets are especially encouraged to apply. Interested students should email samantha.bock@okstate.edu. In your email please include a CV and brief statement of past research experience and future research interests.
Grad students in the lab are admitted through OSU’s Integrative Biology graduate program. Please see more information about the application process and requirements of the graduate programs via the links below. The application deadline for spring semester is September 1 and for fall semester is January 15.
Undergraduates
Research opportunities are available for undergraduates interested in development, molecular biology, genomics, and computational biology. Please email samantha.bock@okstate.edu if interested.
